notes: Pearlington Trip Cost: there is no cost for the trip other than minimal personal expenses. However, we encourage each team member to participate in the fundraising effort. BGF will provide fundraising packets to share with friends, family, business colleagues, churches, etc. Requirements: good physical condition, positive mindset and readiness for a challenging week. Food, lodging and transportation are provided. Plan to bring money for personal use and occasional food purchases. Pre-Departure Orientation: an orientation session will be held prior to your teams departure to talk about the project, discuss specific work assignements, and to set expectations for work, living and travel arrangements. Equipment, Clothing, & Supplies: basic carpentry tools; specialty tools and equipment tools will be discussed at orientation. Sturdy shoes and work clothes appropriate for specific climate/season, light camping gear. -> Accomodations: BGF volunteers should be prepared to camp while working in Pearlington.
