Transportation, Transportation Assistance, Volunteer needed by Red Cross, Greater Houston Chapter

Transportation Services
The American Red Cross Transportation Services Driver is responsible for operating Red Cross owned vehicles to provide non-emergency health and human service transportation to clients. The Driver is responsible for providing portal-to-portal transportation service, helping clients board and disembark from the vehicle, and routing passenger trips as efficiently and effectively as possible. American Red Cross Drivers must be able to read a key map and must be able to be certified in Defensive Driving and Red Cross First and CPR with AED. They must possess a valid Texas Class C Drivers' License and must have a good driving record. Red Cross Drivers must complete behind-the-wheel training and must be courteous, professional, and dependable. Most importantly, Red Cross Drivers must want to help people, treat clients with dignity and respect, and at all times protect client confidentiality.

Volunteer Drivers are needed at four (4) Red Cross offices. Available shifts needed for Volunteer Drivers vary at each office, and people who are interested should contact the individual office for available shifts to work.
