Animals, Animal Care, Cat Care, Volunteer needed by Lafayette Animal Aid

In our new facility, we have multiple rooms, our Main Cat Rooms, and our Quarantine Rooms.

All areas need disinfecting, litter boxes scooped and cleaned, food and water bowls cleaned, fresh food and water provided. All cats are checked to ensure that everyone is well and happy. Some require medication or special treatments, such as eye cleanings. Naturally, all cats receive plenty of attention, play and grooming!

Newcomers require extra care. Most are scared of their new surroundings, so extra TLC is necessary. We keep them separated in our "Quarantine Room" to avoid bringing any contagious diseases into our main cat population. Careful hygiene is very important when handling these animals, without compromising their socialization and play instincts.
