Texas Baptist Men serve in cooperation with SBC Disaster Relief and have an extensive network of trained personnel and resources strategically placed for immediate deployment. Victim Relief
TBM Victim Relief Ministries provide immediate assistance in “companioning” ministry where trained volunteers are prepared to walk along side of people to assist in tangible efforts of restoration and transportation.

Victim Response
The BGCT helps provide certified pastoral care givers trained to assist victims and care-givers in times of trauma. The types of assistance provided are group crisis intervention - defusing and debriefing of primary and secondary victims and training for local church leadership seeking to provide victim ministry.

Prayer
Victims, churches, caregivers, rescue and relief personnel need your constant prayers. Texas WMU coordinates and distributes requests for intercession. They enlist prayer networks to intercede for specific requests as well as effective ministry during a unique “window of openness” posed during disaster. Connecting Church2Church
Texas Baptists have had a great opportunity in Connecting Church2Church as an effort to share Christ in word and deed with churches and communities that were affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The connection with sister Baptist Churches has been and can be phenomenal. Download Connecting Church2Church application to become a part.

There is a new phase of Connecting Church2Church called the Texas Baptist Disaster Response Recovery Grant for Equipment and Building Materials. This is an emphasis on providing financial assistance for equipment and building materials to those who have been partnering or wish to partner with an affected church, association or community.
