Volunteering at Tarrant Area Food Bank

Individuals and groups are invited to donate their talents, time and skills to help Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) feed hungry Texans.

Volunteers include, among others,

• Members of Committees for special events such as Empty Bowls

and ¡Adiós,Hunger!

• Quality control workers (sort and pack food)

• Chef instructors, nutrition instructors and class assistants/

shoppers for Operation Frontline nutrition education classes

• Researchers

• Office assistants (data input, filing, reception duty)

• Spanish-language translators of written materials

• Groups who handle large mailings

• Advisors in food acquisition and handling, finances, marketing,

fundraising and other areas of expertise

• Coordinators of Cans & Cash Drives for workplaces, schools,

clubs, professional associations, religious organizations, civic

groups, neighborhoods and other groups
