Volunteer Training
Committed community members play a vital role in helping to end the cycle of domestic violence, and are the driving force behind Haven Hills. Haven Hills offers a 40-hour state mandated volunteer training for those interested in working directly with clients (e.g., Crisis Line, etc.). We match concerned citizens' skills or special interests to one of the many volunteer opportunities available.

40-Hour Training Sessions
This training meets the guidelines for California certification in Domestic Violence Training and can also be taken for continuing education credits. It is a comprehensive study of domestic violence, factors that contribute to abuse, and the impact of battering on family and society.

History of the Battered Women's Movement
Why Victims Stay, Why Batterers Batter
Domestic Violence and Pregnancy, Child Abuse, Elder Abuse
