Food Stamp Assistance
Second Harvest’s bi-lingual staff are trained to assist low-income individuals with food stamp applications. The Food Stamp Program provides qualified low-income families with an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card that can be used to purchase nutritious food from most food stores and some farmers’ markets.

For information on or assistance with or applying for food stamps call Joel Campos, Food Stamp Outreach Manager, (831) 722-7110 ext 220 or e-mail Joel@thefoodbank.org

Farmers Market EBT/Food Stamps Thanks to efforts by Second Harvest Food Bank, the Community Alliance with Family Farmers and the California Nutrition Network, several area farmers’ markets now have wireless devices allowing low-income families to purchase fresh, local and organic produce with food stamps with their Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card.
