Volunteers, Individual Volunteers (This facility accomodates Individuals Volunteers) needed by Foundation2 (Youth Shelter/Human Services/Suicide Prevention)

From our first days, Foundation 2 has depended on volunteers, and we continue to welcome community members interested in volunteering with our agency.

There are several options for you to consider, based on your interest and time availability.

Are you a good listener? Can you remain calm and objective in emotionally charged situations? If so, you may be the right fit to join our corps of volunteer crisis counselors. Crisis counselors receive a compreshensive initial training, along with monthly ongoing training sessions. Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one 3-4 hour shift per week at the Foundation 2 Crisis Center.
Do you want to play a part in preventing suicide? Volunteers are needed throughout the year to hang posters and distribute brochures to inform the community of the 24-hour crisis hotline and other suicide prevention services provided by Foundation 2.
Do you like preparing for the holidays? Are you a great gift-wrapper? Foundation 2 distributes holiday gifts to the youth and families in our programs. Volunteers are needed in November and December to wrap gifts, pick up donations, and organize gifts for distribution.
