Animals, Animal Care, Foster Homes For Pets of Disaster available at Humane Society of Houston

The HHS is scanning all stray and found animals for microchips and calling numbers on all tagged animals. We will hold animals for 10 days to give owners a chance to reclaim before adoption determination is made. Proof of ownership (current photos, vet records, etc) must be provided, at which point, our staff will compare to our found animals in an attempt to make a positive identification. If animal is not at HHS, staff will provide a list of resources for lost pet postings. Owners can email photos and pet description to adoptions@houstonhumane.org and a staff member will personally check our found animal area and reply.

When power is restored to HHS Animal Wellness Clinic we will be offering a special on pet microchipping.
