The Red Cross shelter at El Modena High School (3920 Spring St., Orange, CA 92869 – located on Spring St. between North Hewes and Prospect.) is remaining open to serve evacuees from the Santiago fire. The current population is 24; evacuees are receiving shelter, food, attention to immediate medical needs and emotional support (including mental health counseling). For those Orange County families with homes damaged or destroyed by the Santiago fire, Red Cross client services are available from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Orange County Red Cross (601 N.
