Islamic Relief is asking supporters to donate towards the Natural Disasters Fund to help the victims. Islamic Relief Response On Wednesday, October 24, Islamic Relief dispatched experienced staff to the San Diego area to assess the fire damage and discover what assistance is needed. Islamic Relief�s team included two staff members with over two years of experience of responding to natural disasters from Hurricane Katrina. The assessment was conducted through three teams, led by Islamic Relief staff and also compromising of local volunteers. The assessment included meeting with the Islamic Center of San Diego, which was housing evacuees, and also visiting shelters and other sites to see how Islamic Relief could best use its experience and resources to provide urgent aid.
