With the recent earthquake in Haiti, the Haiti Gospel Mission's Medical Clinic is one of the largest functional health care centers available. Supplies are absolutely scarce, and financial support is desperately need. Please, please, please consider helping with a financial donation because lives WILL be saved with your financial sacrifice.
Here's a list of items sent to me from Joel and April. These are things that they're needing at the Haiti Gospel Mission.
* Multi Purpose Building (can be used for teams, bible studies, children services)
o Pouring the roof, putting in the electricity, put in bathroom showers, toilets and sinks
o Doors

We thank the Lord that the compound did not sustain much damage during the earthquake.
The damage that was done is very fixable and fairly inexpensive. All four corners are falling apart, and will need cement poured in and columns. The addition that we had just added to the walls a few months ago has crumbled as well. It will need to be fixed all the way around.
We also have major damage in the upstairs stair well going to the roof. It will need to be knocked down and rebuilt, and then have some columns put in. It is unsafe to walk through right now. It will not hold many more tremors.
Medical outreach is an important part of our ministry. Through our medical clinic at Despinos and our mobile clinics, the missionaries and national staff are healing-the-hurting as well as sharing the love of Jesus through skilled hands and compassionate hearts.
We cannot thank God enough for our good ole' suburban. This truck has been amazing; it has saved many many lives, running as an ambulance. However it has been very hard to only have this one machine. Our little Mazda has been giving us many problems and during this crisis, we have really been needing another vehicle. Because the suburban was being used as a ambulance at all hours day and night, we have had to rent a car a few times, which is very expensive. The mission is in great need of another vehicle, so that much can be accomplished. Help us pray for the needed funds for a second vehicle
Vehicle: We are in need of a lug wrench and floor jack for the Chevy.

hours: -> 4 days a week
mission: -> The purpose of our clinic is to provide medical, spiritual and emotional help to those who are in need. Our desire is to be a blessing to all those who are in need in despinos and in the neighboring communities, to provide hope for the hopeless.
We will not discriminate between class, education, or financial ability. We will work to provide quality care for anyone in need.
------------------------------
Today the clinic is functioning well and growing. It operates four days a week now from 8am-2pm (and many emergency after hours). In 2006, the average patients seen at the clinic during a period of one month were 15-18, now we average around 200. We are able to do lab work for malaria, typhoid and many other illnesses, and we also have a well-stocked pharmacy. We have a doctor that comes every day, two nurses, pharmacist, and a secretary. We never turn a patient away for lack of money--everyone in need is seen.
