Mission: from the website:

“Doaba” literally means land between two waters
Doaba has been working since 1987 as a not-for-profit organization. It believes in achieving its goals through optimal utilisation of communities’ own available resources: physical-biological, moral and human. It seeks to build the capacity of such communities incorporating relief activities into development programmes.

Doaba initially established small pilot projects on self-help basis (contribution from trustees and local philanthropists). This experience contributed to building a model of flood preparedness and mitigation which was systematically applied in implementing many demonstration projects on disaster management with disaster prone communities in District Jhang, Muzaffargarh, Multan and Layyah-Southern Punjab.
