Mission: Located in rural Petite-Riviere, the center provides medical care and dispenses medications free of charge to rural villagers who lacked access to basic health care services. The center is staffed full-time by a nurse, Thamara Predestin, nursing assistant, Florencia Dort, community health worker, Valder Labady and intepreter/medical assistant, John Pele Charite. Physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physicians assistants, dentists, psychologists and other staff rotate through the center for 1-2 weeks every 2-4 weeks.

Rasin Foundation runs a small medical clinic in rural Petite-Riviere, Leogane since February 2010. Our specific locality is called Cheridan. Our clinic nurse reported a cholera suspect case on monday whom she referred to MSF in Chatuley (Leogane). Since then we have been made aware of 12 reported cases of cholera in the locality of Kay Monsil, Cheridan, and Kafou ve. We are doing community education and have purchased sugar, salt, ziplock bags and mixed our own oral rehydration mix to give to patients to keep home just in case.

We would like to do more outreach in the community and would like to know where we can get supplies such as:

Soap
Water Purifier
Bleach
Water Purification Tablets

Patients are asking for water purification tabs but we don't have any. We have enough of antibiotics but don't have IV fluids and syringes etc..
