AUTISM SOCIETY LOUISIANA: Families affected with specific needs for their children with autism and their family may contact us at 800-955-3760 or autismsociety_lastatechapter@yahoo.com.
CRISIS COUNSELING: A free crisis counseling program, funded by FEMA and administered by the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH), is open to any adult or child in designated parishes. To learn more, call the DHH-Office of Behavioral Health Louisiana Spirit Crisis Line at 866-310-7977.
FREE TETANUS SHOTS: Tetanus vaccinations are currently being offered to first responders free of charge from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the East Baton Rouge Parish Health Unit, 353 N. 12th Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802. You can reach them at (225) 242-4862. Others pharmacy locations may also offer the vaccination, but there may be a fee involved.
FRENCH SETTLEMENT CLINIC: RKM Primary Care is setting up a temporary Primary Care Medical clinic to serve the people of French Settlement who have been impacted by the recent flooding. PCPFHF will open a temporary primary care clinic at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 15710 LA 16 in French Settlement. Times: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Available services:
All primary care services are available on site
Tetanus and pneumonia vaccines available
Medication refills
Other services by referral
GRIEF COUNSELING: Dr. Nick Abraham LPC is offering group grief support at his office on 8550 United Plaza Blvd. Ste. 702 in Baton Rouge. Sessions will be held Saturdays from 10 - 11:30 a.m. Anyone over 18 is welcome.

OUR LADY OF THE LAKE: Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center is supporting a community disaster response as the result of extreme flooding. LSU Health Baton Rouge and Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group are offering urgent care, pharmacy, and primary care services. They are operating a temporary walk-in clinic with adult and pediatric services. The clinic is in a mobile health unit parked at the Essen entrance to Mary Bird Perkins – Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center. No appointments are necessary.
LSU Health Baton Rouge Urgent Care is operating 24/7. The Mid City Pharmacy is also open.

SUPPORT GROUP: Healing Hearts Support Group will have a session on Thursday, Sept. 8 at the Goodwood Library. The group will meeting from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. For more information contact Carolyn Williams (225) 505-0015.
