With the island nation's second disaster this year nearing, a local relief group is coming to Haiti's aid again. ISOH/IMPACT is collecting donations to send to Haiti where hundreds of thousands of people are living in tent cities. The group sent tons of supplies to Haiti after that deadly earthquake 11 months ago. ISOH/IMPACT is encouraging the community to reach out and get involved. In addition to accepting monetary donations, ISOH/IMPACT is encouraging everyone to join The Bucket Brigade. Here's what is needed: First Aid Kits & Other Medical Supplies Personal Hygiene Items Canned & Non-Perishable Food Items with manual can openers Diapers, Wipes, Canned Baby Formula Baby Care Items Rubber Gloves & Masks Paper Towels & Toilet Paper Flashlights & Batteries Large Trash Bags Laundry Detergent, Bleach, Brooms, Dustpans Tents, Tarps, Ropes & Duct Tape Cash donations to help offset packaging and shipping costs. No water, glass items or clothing. This load will include orthopedic and medical supplies, personal care items, tarps and cleaning supplies. With Hurricane Tomas bearing down and an epidemic of cholera that has spread throughout the country, ISOH/IMPACT is encouraging the community to reach out and get involved. In addition to accepting monetary donations, ISOH/IMPACT is encouraging everyone to join The Bucket Brigade. By filling a clean 5-gallon bucket (be sure to include a lid) with either cleaning supplies, personal care items, baby care items, medical supplies, emergency food relief, or even pet care supplies, you can help provide hope to children, families and entire communities, many of whom lost everything in the January earthquake and have no place to go.
